Meet Your New Assistant: What AI Can Do for an Agent
Video walkthrough coming soon β the written lesson below is complete on its own.
Think of AI like hiring a super-fast personal assistant who has read millions of books, works 24/7, never complains, and costs RM0 to start. It's not magic, and it won't replace you β but an agent using AI will consistently out-produce an agent who isn't. This lesson shows you exactly what that looks like day to day.
First, what actually is "AI" here?
When agents say "AI" in 2026, they usually mean chat-based AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. You type a request in normal language β English, Manglish, δΈζ, BM, mix also can β and it types back a useful answer in seconds. No coding, no installation. If you can send a WhatsApp message, you already have the only skill required.
Key mindset: AI is not Google. Google finds pages for you to read. AI does the work β it writes the message, drafts the post, summarises the document, and rewrites it when you say "make it shorter and friendlier."
7 things agents are doing with AI right now
Prospecting messages β turn "I should follow up with Mr. Tan" into a warm, natural WhatsApp message in 10 seconds, personalised to his situation.
Content creation β reels scripts, FB posts, captions and hashtags for a whole week, generated in one sitting.
Explaining products simply β turn a 40-page brochure into a 5-line explanation a kopitiam uncle would understand.
Handling objections β rehearse "let me think first lah" responses before the real conversation happens.
Translation β write once in English, get natural δΈζ and BM versions for your multi-racial client base.
Meeting prep β summarise a client's situation and generate the 5 smartest questions to ask before you walk in.
Admin β birthday messages, festive greetings, review requests, appointment reminders β drafted in bulk, sent by you.

Prompt β your first follow-up message
You are helping a Malaysian insurance agent write a WhatsApp message.
Situation: My client Jason, 34, bought a medical card from me 2 years ago. He just became a father last month (baby girl). I want to congratulate him and gently open a conversation about protection for his daughter β without sounding like I'm selling.
Write a short, warm WhatsApp message (max 4 lines) in casual Malaysian English. No hard selling. End with a light question.
Notice what you just did: you gave it a role, a situation, and clear instructions β and got a message that would have taken you 10 minutes to agonise over. That structure is not luck. It's a formula, and it's exactly what Lesson 1.2 teaches.
Three myths that keep agents stuck
"AI answers sound robotic." Only if your prompt is robotic. Tell it your tone ("casual Malaysian English, like texting a friend") and it adapts instantly.
"My clients will know it's AI." You always review and edit before sending β AI writes the draft, you stay the sender. Think ghost-writer, not robot.
"I'm too old / not tech-savvy enough." If you can describe what you want in words, you can use AI. The best AI users in Keith's circle are experienced agents β because they know exactly what a good message should achieve.
One rule before you go further: never paste a client's full name, IC number, policy number or medical details into any AI tool. Module 8 covers PDPA-safe habits in depth β for now, just use first names or "my client".
